The IMDIS cycle of conferences from 2005 to 2010 had the aim to bring together different communities working in information science, and provide a forum for exchanging ideas, experiences and build a collaboration framework. IMDIS 2013 will continue to show the advances and progresses on development of efficient infrastructures for managing large and diverse data sets, standards, interoperable information systems, services and tools for education.
The main objective of IMDIS 2013 is to show how information is serving science and society. Presenters will be strongly encouraged to demonstrate how their efforts will benefit their user communities.
