VII Latin American Congress of Antarctic Science

La Serena, Chile, 4 - 6 September 2013

In recent years, scientific advances in Antarctic research have highlighted the importance of Antarctica as a moderator of global change, such as source of unique adaptations, as biogeographic bridge in geological scale and as important record for modeling future scenarios. But, in the same way, has been generating a lot of questions, many of which are beyond the purview of a single discipline or country. Therefore, the overall objective of the event is to provide the scientific community with a platform to enhance multidisciplinary and multinational scientific collaboration in the context of the nearest continent to Antarctica: South America.
