This meeting is the 5th annual meeting of the SOOS Data Management Sub-Committee (DMSC). Discussions will focus on milestones of the past year, and plans for delivery of SOOS maps, federated data search tool and the field project database. Participation is open to DMSC members and representatives of national/international Antarctic and oceanographic data repositories.
The SOOS DMSC meeting will be held at the Alfred-Wegener Institute, Bremerhaven, Germany, who have kindly agreed to be the local hosts for this meeting.
The meeting will be held over three days (13-15th June 2017):
Day 1: Morning session - General DMSC business.
Afternoon Session - joint SOOS SSC-DMSC session (located at Atlantic Hotel Sail City, Am Strom 1, Bremerhaven, a short walk from AWI)
Day 2 and 3: General DMSC business.

Getting To Bremerhaven:
The closest airport to Bremerhaven is the Bremen Airport. Direct flights to Bremen are possible from Frankfurt, Munich, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris and London (both City and Stansted).
From Bremen Airport you can either take a taxi (approx. € 80) or the train to Bremerhaven.
