Get Involved

The success of SOOS hinges on active community involvement, and there are a number of ways for you to be involved in SOOS:

• Join a Regional Working Group
   
• Join a Capability Working Group or propose a new one
   
• Get your research project Endorsed by SOOS
   
• Know a key product or activity that needs developing? Propose a Task Team
• Subscribe to SOOS to receive newsletters and updates on activities
   
• Check the SOOS Calendar for upcoming events that you can get involved in, or contact us if you are considering hosting a SOOS-related event in your country
  
  
• Notify SOOS of your upcoming field activities, programme activities, research results, meetings and national strategies
   
• Nominate a National Representative or Scientific Steering Committee member for your country or discipline
   
• Submit your data to a data centre that contributes to SOOS
   
• Discuss with us your data and data product requirements
   
• "Like" SOOS on Facebook and post your thoughts and comments to the community
