Affiliated Institutes and Organisations
Many institutes and organisations have supported Southern Ocean observation efforts for decades. It is important that these existing efforts are recognised for the contribution to the global SOOS effort. In 2014, SOOS developed this category of affiliation to officially recognise and articulate the breadth of international contribution to SOOS.
SOOS-Affiliated Institutes are those that support the funding, collection and/or management of Southern Ocean observational data. If you would like your institute to be officially recognised for its contribution to SOOS, please contact the SOOS Executive Officer (info[at]soos.aq).
