Long-term, sustained time-series are essential to understanding ongoing environmental changes in Southern Ocean. The data collected via long-term observing programmes is vital to detecting and understanding change, it is the backbone of the observing programme and needed for analyses to support modelling.

The below list includes programmes that are:

• At least 5 years in length (or is planned to run for 5+ years at least)
• Has continuous or repeated sustained observations that are standardised and from the same/very close location
• Are within the Southern Ocean or Antarctic
