observing community
There are many ways to contribute to the Southern Ocean observing community. Whether you want to connect with other researchers, coordinate observations, share data or help shape SOOS activities, find the pathway that works for you.
Find your community
Everyone working in a Southern Ocean-related field is encouraged to join the collective efforts of SOOS, whether to stay informed or actively contribute. Connect by region (Regional Working Groups) or topic (Capability Working Groups).
Contribute to coordinated observing
Help make Southern Ocean observations more connected. Share information about observing activities, identify gaps and find opportunities to work together.
Share and discover data
Find datasets, explore available observations and help make Southern Ocean data easier to discover and access. Better data connections support better science.
Help shape the future of SOOS
SOOS develops through the expertise and ideas of its community. Contribute to working groups, share your perspective and help identify future observing priorities.
Stay connected
