Observing System Design (OSD) Working Group Announces New Leadership Team Member

The Observing System Design (OSD) Capability Working Group (CWG) is happy to share that Qinghua Yang will be part of their leadership team.

Qinghua Yang is a professor at the School of Atmospheric Sciences, Sun Yat-sen University and Southern Marine Science and Engineering Guangdong Laboratory (Zhuhai).

Qinghua mainly works on sea ice-ocean data assimilation and prediction, atmosphere-sea ice-ocean interaction, polar weather and climate.

He has worked in the  Arctic and Antarctic for more than 32 months, and has been a Steering Group Member of the WMO’s Polar Prediction Project since October 2014.
