SOOS Welcomes a New Data Officer

SOOS warmly welcomes our new Data Officer, Imogen Jones. The SOOS International Project Office is delighted to announce that Imogen will be starting in her new role from the 30th of May replacing Pip Bricher, who moved on after 7 years in this position.

Imogen has previous data management experience in the physical sciences, having worked at the AuScope radio telescopes, handling data logistics in conjunction with radio astronomy stations in Australia and internationally, including the US Naval Observatory and the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy in Germany.

Imogen holds a post-graduate qualification in Astronomy and has a long history as a data analyst in various positions, both in academia and for various Government organisations.  Imogen is nearing completion her PhD in translational statistics at the University of Tasmania and is looking forward to the challenges ahead in her new role as SOOS Data Officer.
