Launch of Monthly OSD Mini-workshop Series

The SOOS Observing System Design (OSD) Capability Working Group is excited to announce the launch of a new series of online mini-workshops. The mini-workshops will start in January and be held monthly leading up to the SOOS Symposium in August 2023.

These workshops will feature short scene-setting talks, plenary discussions open to all attendees, and informal chat sessions hosted by the OSD leadership team. 

The first mini-workshop will be held on Thursday, January 12th at 2pm EST, hosted by the OSD leadership team and featuring special guest Nora Loose, who will provide the scene-setting talk for our session. The theme for this inaugural mini-workshop is "Adjoint models, uncertainty quantification, and observing system design".
